Dinner for 1
Dinner for 1, AIDS Ark’s major annual fundraising event, launched in 2012.
Volunteer hosts across the UK, South Africa, Malta and the US welcomed people into their home for a charity dinner with the donations each host raised going to support an AIDS Ark beneficiary for one year.
In 2013, the Dinner for 1 campaign raised over £30K !
Shopping for 1
On 6 December 2012, AIDS Ark hosted Shopping for 1, a drinks & shopping evening at the new British menswear brand, Foxhall. Foxhall donated 10% of sales from the evening to AIDS Ark and together with the raffle, we raised £1400 for the evening and had over 25 people commit to host a Dinner for 1 meal in March.
On the evening we also launched our 2013 Dinner for 1 event – where hosting a dinner for friends at home saves the life of someone living with HIV/AIDS.
